@Illusion, i used my phone for 3 months without using much of my credit and then moved to another chinese city. In 3 weeks credit was gone. Found out you need to buy a sim card for region you are living in. Rates are much cheaper for local sim cards. I was paying much higher rates for having sim card from old region. Hope this helps.
Maybe time has come to write some basic rules for writing reviews.
1. Actually need to visit the place we are reviewing.
2. If reviewing food need to order from the menu and sample the food.
3. Keep things civil and refrain from personal attacks.
4. Some places have strengths and lets face it not such great things, so spell out what is good on the menu or not so good?
A start feel free to add to this list.
It seems a shame that the same rules do not apply for reviews as do the forum. Especially when educatedman makes such personal attacks in his reviews and the people harmed have little recourse for defending themselves. One good thing is if he was staying at lost garden maybe he will be leaving soon.
11:00 am reading of 189 is getting pretty nasty. Haze is even worse than yesterday. I can see Haze between our complex buildings today for the first time. Seems a shame that a city that once prided itself in having some of cleanest air in China has allowed the air quality to diminish so rapidly.
Overnight usually no breeze so fumes just hang towards ground. Actually gets the worst around 8 or 9 in morning because of everyone driving to work on top of trucks being on roads all night. This morning haze was worst i have seen this year. This past holiday weekend with fewer cars and trucks on road air quality was much better.

Great western dinner at a reasonable price. The salad bar is a wonderful bonus if you order a dinner meal. I like to get their early just after 5, then salad bar is especially fresh and full of all the selections. Staff are my favorite in Kunming. They are friendly and attentive, but not over bearing. Give you menu and then give you time to make a selection.
Recently i wrote a review that after eating beef burritos at Salvadors i ended up with a bad stomach ache and the last time a case of severe diarrhea. It was commented later that maybe the sour cream was a factor, and that may be true. My only dairy is milk in my coffee and i have noticed i sometimes end up with a stomach ache after drinking 2-3 cups in the morning. I make my own sour cream for tacos i make at home and will have to pay more attention to how that affects me in the future.
Metro has many things i cannot find other places, but i still find it a frustrating place to shop sometimes. Seem to frequently be out of things. For example their was very little fresh meat to choose from and actually they were out of many things and i was their just after lunch. They had no loaves of toasting bread and could not tell my wife when they would be getting more in. In looking at the fresh date on Hormel ham it had expired in September. However for first time i was able to shop all the aisles. Not filled with merchandise to be stocked or fork lifts.
To all those expecting an authentic Irish Pub come on we are after all living in China. I have eaten there several times and the burger is still the best in Kunming in my opinion. Staff is friendly and attentive to your needs. Place is not perfect but what is in CHina. Owners have been wonderful in opening up early for special events like the US Super Bowl.
Went for Pizza special tonight. Had the Barbeque chicken and it was very good. Also enjoyed an exceptionally large order of French Fries. Everything was good tonight and owners where not there.

发布者Insulation, how about replacing the entire walls of single pane glass windows with smaller insulated double pane ones. Would make homes cooler in summer, warmer in winter and would allow people to actually sleep at night without all the noise.

发布者What a joke, maybe someone should tell police about this crack down. For the last several weeks going north on 3rd ring road just past Bejing road the vendors have had all but 1 lane filled at the intersection during the evening. Bicycle lanes and even more often 1-2 traffic lanes are being used for parking. Getting more dangerous riding my bicycle every day.
