Cool down man.
Of course the speed depends on the Wattage of the engine. In general 72 Volt models are however designed to go faster instead of extended range. What you are saying is that a QQ with a 5 litres engine is faster than a Ferrari with 50CC two stroke. Yes it will be but they don't exist.
I personally think that whatever the regulation is nobody cares about. The police have a nice milk cow this way to milk once in a while.
I personally am not afraid of high voltages but I can understand that the regulators here are, thus like to stick to the safer 48V.
PS. lived in countries with far worse electric systems than China. The materials used here are much better than the stuff they ship to Africa. There I had extension wires that said 2000W but contained so little wire inside the foamed up insulation that I hardly dared to charge a phone on it.
@christian
On the east side they build a new road cutting straight through some old houses and this is perfect for the bus. On the west side there are three roads.
1. The Erhai lake cycle ringroad. This is nearest to the lake and has good views. At many places it is very narrow because it squeezes through old Bai villages. The bus cannot take this road.
2. The old toll road. Now mainly used by driving schools going about 30 Km/h holding up all others.
3. The ugly twice 4 lane concrete road.
Guess which road the bus will take????
I recommend cycling. That is pedalling. Not an eBike. The total roudtrip is some 80 Km which is too far for an eBike. (At end of the day little trucks go around to pick up the stranded for a heavy fee.)
All can be done in one day. Three days gets boring.
There probably is a good reason for banning e-Bikes at 72 volts. 72V-DC is quite lethal and electric shocks of even 48V-DC can be dangerous.
On top of that the extra power is usually not used to enhance endurance but to create higher speeds which are a danger as such. Needing the extra power because of size and weight can be achieved as well by getting a fresh set of batteries which for a 48V cost only 2/3rd of those for a 72 V.
PS.
eBikes are not environmentally friendly. A lot of electricity is produced in a dirty way and the batteries are always very polluting (Even when they are recycled). So take a muscle powered bike.
Motorbikes (Any size) are not allowed within the 2nd ring road unless you have a special registration. That is a number plate starting with a 1 after the A from Kunming. These plates are not issued any longer so old motorbikes with a licence plate starting with A1 fetch much higher prices but are very hard to find. It means as well that you cannot register a motorbike on an address within the 2nd ring road.

All seven dogs in my compound that were on the list have disappeared. OK the old German shepherd probably by dying of old age.

发布者WayoftheSun. False info? I am just raising some points how the present situation has come to this. Don't blame me but the unscrupulous breeders and owners that keep dogs for the wrong reasons and on top of that don't know how to deal with them.
I have no problem understanding that your shepherd is a proper dog and you know how to deal with but the situation I see around me here is China is different. Lots of gangster breeders and owners that don't know even the basics.
A muzzle is not the solution. Just two recent cases in England and New Zealand where kids were mauled by their family dogs in their own homes.
