Hi

A Chinese lady with a German husband asked the same question. because your pension comes from the work you did overseas its not required to pay tax here. Income Tax in China is required only for the income you get from the work you do here.

But as per what Geezer said about the 5 year rule, if you have any rental or Stock etc income in Holland or elsewhere after 5 years of continous living in China then you would have to pay income tax on that here in China. So as Geezer says, get out for 30 days and reset the clock before that becomes an issue.
If they are coming by the Postal System (Not a courier) then you should get a slip in your post box telling you to bring your passport and the slip to the International Post Office on Beijing Road.
If you have waited a few weeks (5-6 weeks after posting) but still no slip then go to the International Post Office and ask for the parcel, you should check their entry book yourself if they can't find it.

when we renovated we took our workmen to B&Q to select materials from their excellent range if samples. Then with that list in hand we went to the construction market near Mingbo bridge and got the same materials at either half or one third of the B&Q price.
It's a good place for window shopping.

'No-car day' underlines Kunming's car conundrum
发布者I have heard that the subway will be quite expensive compared to the bus system, 12 plus rmb from the most north to the most south stops. Unlike Beijing which heavily subsidises its public transport (because it gets money from all the provinces to do so) for a flat rate of 2 rmb!! per subway trip.
At such a high price for Kunming public transport users I seriously doubt that the subway will make much of a difference,,BUT AT LEAST the construction will be gone.

发布者I was also thinking about how Kunming has changed, I wonder if the top government officials in Kunming were locals would have made any difference?
