We were maybe moving city and discussed with the landlord possibiliy of our leaving before the end of a full year (our third), with notice, within the contract specifications. The landlord (another crazy woman) threatened to sue us if we didn't pay for the complete year.

We pointed out to her that she is welcome to try to sue the company, as that is who the contract is with. It is not worth sueing a big company, the legal costs would be more than 10 years rent if she lost, and she would.
