There's another method not taken into account by the government.
My Canadian debit card permits me to withdraw up to $1,000 PER DAY, while my VISA card allows $3,000 cash withdrawals. Admittedly I pay a premium of $3 per transaction on the debit card and $5 on the credit card, but in the end I could draw down $4,000 per day in cash and then deposit it in my BOC account here. If my pension were higher I could easily transfer more than $1,000,000 per year, but alas, I don't earn that much.
That $50,000 limit is "per person". If you have a spouse or significant other then there is another $50,000 available.
When we came to Kunming 2 years ago we got that advice from the BOC branch in Toronto, so split the funds into two and had (almost) no problem exchanging the funds here.
Wow!
Just got my second "Violation of Use" warning from Witopia in a very short time frame. Seems like the US Government is cracking down and seeding Torrent sites. I may need to switch to a European provider Any suggestions?
There are two types of dialysis machines. My mother had a peritoneal machine in her home. It used the same kind of water used in IV drips, but in much larger bags. A nurse came to her home each evening to connect it and each morning to disconnect. There was some surgery required to insert the connections in her abdomen.
When that was no longer working they chose to go with hemodialysis, but they would not do that at home - only hospital. I don't know if that has changed in the past 10 years.
Had my first ever visit to Slice of Heaven last night for a group party. Barbara recognized me as a newcomer and immediately came to welcome me and introduce herself.
While speaking with her at the counter, a server walked past with a pizza for one table. The aroma immediately caught my attention. It was awesome.
Our group shared 4 different pizzas. All were amazing. I think the sauce really makes the difference since it was very flavourful. I also put back to cups of cappuccino. I guess they must have fixed problems noted in other reviews because I found it to be quite good.

How bad is Kunming's air?
Posted byI flew into Kunming Sunday afternoon. There were fluffy white clouds, all nestled in a sea of grey. It was not pretty.
