Location may also be important. When we first moved here we had a very nice 6th floor walk up down by the lake. It was a 15 minute walk out to the road where the 30 minute bus service could take us to the main route into town! It was also a 30 minute walk to the farmer's market! If you don't plan to drive, then be sure to be at least reasonably close to a bus route. After a year we moved up by the north transit terminal and now have 20 bus routes at the door as well as easy walking distance to markets, supermarkets and restaurants.
For rent, most places will quote you a monthly rate but expect the full year paid in advance, along with a deposit of at least a month's rent. Also, don't forget that condo fees and parking fees (if you drive) would be extra.

Had my first ever visit to Slice of Heaven last night for a group party. Barbara recognized me as a newcomer and immediately came to welcome me and introduce herself.
While speaking with her at the counter, a server walked past with a pizza for one table. The aroma immediately caught my attention. It was awesome.
Our group shared 4 different pizzas. All were amazing. I think the sauce really makes the difference since it was very flavourful. I also put back to cups of cappuccino. I guess they must have fixed problems noted in other reviews because I found it to be quite good.
If I lived closer I would be a regular here.
