One major problem with these apps, aside from the language, is that they don't take into account that foreigner's ids (passport numbers) are subject to change.
Right now my AliPay profile shows my new passport number, but when I scan the QR health code it returns info with my old passport number.

How is that possible?

I'm not an active AliPay user.

Most of the app is in Chinese even with the application language supposedly set to English.

However, I dug through the app (with some difficulty) and found that, unlike WeChat, it does have a way to update the passport number.

Yes, that's exactly what I've done.

It still irritates me that an app which is dependent on your id doesn't have the ability to update the id.

I wonder what happens for those of us who's health code is still tied to an old passport number while the vaccination will be on the new number.

There does not appear to be any way to change the passport number in the app.
