「中國人根本不用擔心核輻射,內地網民﹕大家不要擔心日本核電站的輻射,這麼多年來,我們吃地溝油、化學火鍋、三聚氰胺奶粉、毒大米,皮革奶是為的是什麼呀？就是為在下一場生化戰爭中活下來。我們贏在起跑線上。」

"Chinese people need not fear the radiation. Netizens on the mainland: Let's not worry about the radiation from the Japanese nuclear plants. For so many years, we've been eating swill oil, chemical hot pots, melamine milk, toxic grains, "leather milk" — what's all this been for? It's all so we can survive in the next big chemical war. We'll be victorious on the front lines."

Predictive cabling. Goes down BEFORE and earthquake.

I remember last time there was an earthquake in the China sea. It took a long time to get fixed. The slower/disrupted service was used to mask a big beefing up of the GFW.

I would guess that large infrastructure projects may be treated as state secrets. Sites may not be off limits (to Chinese nationals), but rather like collecting phone numbers/addresses, or using a GPS to map routes, it could get non-nationals into trouble.

A reasonable choice of lumber that has improved over time. Fancy hardwoods like walnut, and mahogany are in abundance. There are some plywood and rubber-wood boards available. There are also some kiln dried imported softwoods and merbao available. Some of the lumber is very green, so look for the kiln dried if you need stable timbers.



Echo everything said by others.
Breakfast great and the serve from 8am. Most other places say 9am and they still are not ready.
Sandwiches are cheap 22-32, and really packed full of filling. We got some sandwiches for a day out, the only mistake I made was ordering two, as this was too much. These are seriously good sangars, and they are wrapped in alu foil.



In fairness to Metro, they are a wholesalers, and not really a supermarket. Hence the need for a card, which can be got around.

They have improved in the year I have been away. They now carry a more consistent range of imported foodstuffs and they also seem to have sorted out the mported milk supply.

They have a wider range of electrical appliances now, there is a coice of more than one toast. There is also a better range of seasonal non foods, like clothes, shoes, garden furniture and camping gear.
