A new paint job costs money. It also takes time, and involves more people.
Most thieves are looking for something that they can sell on within hours. Most people who handle stolen goods are looking for an easy onward sale.

If you do a bad paint job, e.g. spray acrylic over enamel, or vise versa, you get crazing. This would require the bike to be fully stripped back before new paint. You can't just spray over the top of the old and get a nice finish. The same is true if you hand paint with a brush, it must be fully prepared.

The people who buy stolen bikes, probably know they are stolen, but they still don't want a crappy looking, or easily identifiable machine.

Hopefully the new registration, and need for original fapio will make it harder to sell on stolen vehicles.

Just a thought.
Most Cantonese restaurants I went to in Shenzhen and Shanghai only served dimsum in the mornings and/or afternoons, not at lunchtime or in the evening.

It will be worth checking the times. You must specifically ask 'what time?'. If you just ask, 'Do you...' the answer will be a simple 'yes'. Don't expect more details. Seriously, it is one of the annoying things about getting information here, people tend not to volunteer helpful additional information.

I am not sure that dragon boat events were ever held in the Minorities Village. This could be a hang over from erroneous remark in an article on dragon boat festivals a year or two ago.
The only dragon boat events I know of, in the last 10 years, were held on the northern half of Haigeng Dam (Daba). These now fall on the calendar of the international dragon boat racing events.

A reasonable choice of lumber that has improved over time. Fancy hardwoods like walnut, and mahogany are in abundance. There are some plywood and rubber-wood boards available. There are also some kiln dried imported softwoods and merbao available. Some of the lumber is very green, so look for the kiln dried if you need stable timbers.

Echo everything said by others.
Breakfast great and the serve from 8am. Most other places say 9am and they still are not ready.
Sandwiches are cheap 22-32, and really packed full of filling. We got some sandwiches for a day out, the only mistake I made was ordering two, as this was too much. These are seriously good sangars, and they are wrapped in alu foil.

In fairness to Metro, they are a wholesalers, and not really a supermarket. Hence the need for a card, which can be got around.

They have improved in the year I have been away. They now carry a more consistent range of imported foodstuffs and they also seem to have sorted out the mported milk supply.

They have a wider range of electrical appliances now, there is a coice of more than one toast. There is also a better range of seasonal non foods, like clothes, shoes, garden furniture and camping gear.
