Well I guess it depends on how you behave and what people you are hanging out with. In Kundu you can find a lot of rather unstable people who think they can do whatever they want just 'cause they have money. It would be good if you make friends with the people working in the club and they will help you if something happens.

If people start acting weird and want to start a fight it's better to just smile, apologize and leave before they throw a bottle in your head. I would say it is safer if you stick to the more expensive clubs and don't hang around outside.

Clubs ban foreigners at times 'cause they get tired of the people that go there every night begging for booze.

However I agree with you, I felt safe going out in Kundu. Just use your common sense and don't pee on the DJ booth and you will be fine :)

Tigertiger- I didn't mean it that way. What I meant is that a lot of foreigners working in the modeling industry in Kunming have a student or tourist visa. I doubt that it is possible to get a working visa for one time events.
And doesn't a working visa specify what kind of job you are supposed to be doing?

Menhnyaa, you seem to be the most reasonable person on this forum. It's not always up to her to decide if they will give us more money however since she is the one saying how many hours it will be without any reservations it is a contract breach to change it and the contract is no longer valid. So techinaqually you are right :) The thing is though that this kind of job is illigeal since most foreigners don't have working visas. Even if there is a contract breach it's difficult to enforce it since neither party can go to the police. However a contract breach will result in that person getting a bad reputation as we have seen on this forum.

First, we don't know the actual circumstances in this case. Secondly, Jasmine work with foreigners so our way of looking at things do matter. Not caring about what the people that you make your living out of think sounds rather stupid, don't you think? At least as long as their expectations and demands are reasonable.

It seems that you have no experience of this industry. Yes we recieve special treatment but that is not relevant here. It is only about supply and demand.

If this supply and demand change, so what? You seem to be terribly disturbed by this special treatment. If you are so keen on discussing it you should start a new tread.

Laotou is absolutley right. To write down what you mean will clarify things. But how difficult can it be? You have now written several comments and threads on this forum about how misserable your life is and how noone understands you. This has been the case ever since I first met you.

I do belive that it is possible to keep a good relationship with the foreigner even if things go wrong. But how come that people blame you most of the time instead of the responsible director? Is it just because most foreigners are bad people?

It is not particulary strange if people that don't know the entertainement industry in Kunming get upset when things go wrong when you don't care to tell them from the beginning (since it seems rather likely that something will go wrong). So here is a short list of what you should be telling them before you let them agree to anything.

* The working hours might be more than director says.
* If there will be extra hours I can not guarantee that they will pay you for those.
* I will be getting this much money out of your pay and this is how much you will get.
* The start and finishing date might change.

It's one thing if only one person don't like working with you but seriously Jasmine. If there is a lot of people saying the same things you should think about why they say it. You call people nasty things both in public and tell it straight to them. You might be honest but it's highly unprofessional. And you will get no sympathy by always telling people how difficult your life is. Get a grip or start working with something else.
