Appreciate any advice on how to use Alipay to scan health codes? My wechat no longer works for one set of health codes and is asking for updates which I am scared to do and dont seem to be available on Google play for my device now.

I installed the English Alipay app, and linked my Chinese bank card and did the personal verification. So what's the next step to using alipay for health codes? I have never used Alipay before.

Also, curious if Alipay could be used somehow to get my yuan in my Chinese bank account to a USA bank account later when I return to the USA.

Yah, forgot to mention I was asking about Kunming station and not Kunming South. You can board high speed rail at Kunming station in addition to Kunming South. The number of trains is limited compared to Kunming South, and most just go to Kunming South also. Seems like the Metro still hasn't actually connected properly to Kunming station.

eblair obviously is a blind zealot regarding chinese traditional medicine. He or she has come to the enraged defense of aconite having totally ignored the that:

1) The lawsuit in the article has yet to be determined in favor or against the Yunnan Baiyao

2) eblair obviously didn't bother to click on the links in the article to discover that Yunnan Baiyao's mainly under attack for faulty seals in Sichuan and not listing aconite as an ingredient in HK. I don't think anyone can argue that faulty seals and mislabeling are not egregious.

Scally presented an informative article. I agree eblair is just pissed off.

Most airports in China have the last shuttle bus depart when the last flight arrives. Whether they do this as a courtesy or it's a rule of law, I don't know. But it's very comforting.

The 28rmb salad bar buffet is the best meal to be had in Kunming for that price. Killer onion rings as part of that salad bar! Starts at 5pm Mon-Sat. They don't restock a dish if it runs out, but it's rarely an issue because there are so many others and no dish runs out unless you show up past 7'ish on a fri or sat.

Their steaks are Chinese steaks, and not a Western level of cut of meat, but the Korean dishes are excellent.

The only reason it's 4 and not 5 stars, is I live far away, and maybe the quality of the steak. Of course it was only 50rmb for a steak, potatoes, and a salad bar buffet included.

Oh yes, the staff are really nice, but it's not fine dining, so they don't rush to take your order or bring out water. The place is more relaxed, so give'em a hollar or just grab a menu and some silverware yourself.
