No worries. At first I was taken aback and then realized what time it was that you posted :-)

Kunming and China have their own way of doing things and I am doing my best to adjust. However, there are other things that I just cannot find the logic in. But that is the "china way" :-)

I may decide to have a "care package" sent from the states, but would rather source locally as long as I don't get products that are clean and safe.

I am looking for a weight training gym that opens by at least 6:00AM.

Every gym that I have found opens in the range of 9:00AM or 10:00AM.

It is a bit confusing that I can't find one.

Fair question...
I am looking for standard health food supplements that should be available world wide. I am not asking for what I had back home. I am wanting the equivalent in quality. Since labor is the expendable resource in China, then I see no reason why I would be paying more for something that is produced here.

Whey protein in China is 3 times the price that I pay for it in the US. I cannot find coconut oil, even though I can find coconuts. I imported my own Chia seeds as I could not find them here. I CoQ10 I have not found yet, nor good quality fish oil capsules.

I enjoy a great deal about Kunming, and am opening a inline skating business here. Started Chinese classes to more understand the Chinese culture. But I also value my health and that is why I am looking for these things.

I am looking for a good source of whey Protein, such as EAS or other quality product at a price that is similar to the U.S.

Also looking for the health supplement ...Coconut Oil. In the States I normally bought it at Whole Foods.

And while I am at it, a good source for Fish Oil Capsules and CoQ10

My girlfriend and I shared Christmas Dinner with Nuhi, Brian, and Jo at Mei Mei Cafe and I can tell you that they are "good" people.

I wish you all the best and am looking forward to staying at your hotel/guesthouse. I know that it will be a success. Now all you need is a French cook :-)

We were just there about a month ago for Christmas. The food at Mekong was the best I have had in a long time. Greg cares very much about the quality of his food and served an amazing turkey dinner!! English style breakfast was consistently good, and his Dai food was wonderful. He does employ local Daizu as cooks, and quality is above the standard Dai restaurant.

It's great to be able to order a 4 shot espresso and not have to explain how much it should cost. The last time I tried this at other Kunming coffee establishments, they wanted to charge me for two doubles.

Glad to have starbucks here!!!

Now if we could only learn how to queue :-)
