Forums > Travel Yunnan > Successful Z-visa run to HK?

Thanks. Yes, they asked me which Chinese Consulate to write down, and when I suggested HK, they said that other ppl have been rejected their Z-Visa there. When I applied for Z-Visa years ago, there were also stories about ppl being rejected in HK, but I had no problems getting the Z-Visa, so now I am not sure if I should risk it. If they reject the Z-Visa, the whole process has to start again.

Any recent news?

I was told that it is not possible to get the Z-visa in Hong Hong without a Hong Kong residency and that i will have to go back to my home country to apply.

Has anyone successfully applied for a Z-Visa in Hong Kong in the last few weeks?

Thanks

Forums > Living in Kunming > Taking a cat out of China

I remember a friend taking her cat home and she had to go to some

sanitary department for animals where she got all the needed paperwork done. Your vet should be able to give you the address. For a little fee she also got a paper that said that the cat passed the necessary quarantine. ;)

The department is called sth like jianyizhan, 检疫站, quarantine station near Dianchi lake.
