Forums > Living in Kunming > Scooter Mods I bought my scooter about 1 year ago and it have 80v, the seller told me before i purchased that it's not really legal to ride above 64v. But anyway i liked that scooter, no problems so far. TaiLing (the Brand) even have a big service shop around my corner, they fixed my tire for free and made all two tires practically bulletproof... :) without me bringing receipt (really good service). There are small repair shop's all over Kunming. If they dont have what you need, they can also order it for you i guess. For parts i can confirm Taobao (淘宝) is a good place to buy. But if you dont have a scooter already, i would recommend to buy a strong one (big battery and such) in the first place.
Forums > Living in Kunming > To the person who sent me an anonymous email Some people still have too much time... I guess such creatures get robbed if they decide (i doubt if they are that stingy) to let someone clean their house.
Forums > Living in Kunming > Kunming Electronics Market? your welcome. btw. dont forget to bargain about the price... maybe dress like a chinese citizen. ;)
Forums > Living in Kunming > Kunming Electronics Market? It's called 121 Da Jie (一二一大街) along this street you will find big and small stores selling all kind of electronic stuff. I would recommend you Yuan Tong Bei Lu (圆通北路), coming from Kunming Zoo in direction 121 Da Jie. You can check it out on google maps. Happy shopping... ;)

Xi visits Yunnan, emphasizing poverty alleviation
Posted byChinese New Year we will visit my parents-in-law on the countryside like every year. Let's check what did improve there over a year...in comparision to Kunming or even smaller towns. Maybe they got some new meters of asphalt or some bricks to repair their houses. They're still years behind and no big changes in sight. Still the people there don't complain!
