No place better than Walmart, Carrefour, for price. The bedding shops charge silly money. Metro north might have them, Metro south is too small. Some local chinese chain supermarkets carry them this time of year.

If you have a choice, get the ones that do not have the full mesh at the bottom, otherwise you will lie on the mesh, unless you put another sheet down. There are also bamboo mats that you can put down, but it does not really get that hot here, and these mats can attract other insects.

The mosquito nets usually come in 3 different sizes, 1m, 1.5m, and 1.8m.

I think that there was a major overhaul of the visa system recently. I remember reading an article that the central government had put out ideas being considered, for public consultation. Some of the proposals were to make things easier.

I have just had my RP renewed. The RP is now more sophisticated and has you photo printed as a part of it.

If you are already on a 2 year family RP, you can reapply with no need for a new medical.

The pick up and collection system is all by APP, as is

payment.

The Tuodon Lu office is being remodeled on the 1st floor, and it looks like the payment booth has been removed or will be revamped. Which also suggests that there may have been changes to the system of exit for Chinese nationals as well.
If the system has been completely overhauled, that would explain potential changes to other visa classes, student, work, and other. Which could include a tightening up in some areas to close loop holes.

One thing that has happened in the past is that if some new regulations have proven to be too strict and caused problems, they have quietly been relaxed.

No luck on the organic front. We are, where we can find them, buying direct from Yunnan farmers (or their reps). You really have to look for price. Some prices are 4x the price of other suppliers. We have been buying one thing, and then checking the quality. 50% of the time the quality is very good.

One advantage if it comes direct from the farm is that some harvest on demand, you order it and they dig it up.
Don't ask me for links, as my wife is still sorting stuff as we go, and it is hit and miss. Again, it is usually not organic.

@Faraz, I think something got lost in translation. I am looking for organic produce, not organic products.
Definition follows.
Produce is a generalized term for many farm-produced crops, including fruits and vegetables (grains, oats, etc. are also sometimes considered produce). More specifically, the term produce often implies that the products are fresh and generally in the same state as where and when they were harvested.

Because of the Metro Line 5 opening in our area, we have just gained another 3 bus services in our area. We live in a area a little off the beaten track, before we only had one bus.
It may be worth regular commuters, who live near line 5, checking to see if they have picked up any new bus routes.

Yes. A schematic map is only useful to find your way on the system that is mapped. For most tourists and strangers to the system, a map that relates to what is on the ground (above) is much more useful.

I could be mistaken but the I thought that the metro lines used to be shown on Googlemaps. But not any more apparently.
