My daughter went to Tongren Hospital, near the corner of Hongta Lu and Guangfu Lu. She had no complaints. One advantage of Tongren is that it is not huge, and not crowded. Like most of the hospitals, the VIP service is not expensive either.
From my experience, that sort of restriction is not unusual. You might have some luck with some of the backstreet places on 1-2-1 Da Jie, or the surrounding area. If they cannot help you it will be because that battery type is not, or no longer, available in China.

It is still possible to fly directly into Kunming International Airport. A very recent article was linked in another thread on here yesterday. You might find the info in the article very useful.

Posted byYes. A schematic map is only useful to find your way on the system that is mapped. For most tourists and strangers to the system, a map that relates to what is on the ground (above) is much more useful.
I could be mistaken but the I thought that the metro lines used to be shown on Googlemaps. But not any more apparently.
