Forums > Living in Kunming > Electronics / cellphones / computer stores

Hi,
Recently my speaker's earphones-input connector has stopped working, so I was thinking about getting it fixed or just buying the component and try to do it myself. I've tried around Chenggong (呈贡), but I asked in a few computer stores and they said they can't do it and don't have the component either.

I guess I'll have to go downtown somewhere. I've read that near Yieryi street ( 一二一大街) and Yuantong Beilu (圆通北路) I can find electronic components. Is that right? I guess they will also fix electronic devices as well?

And is there in Kunming an area or market to buy computing stuff and cellphones?

Thanks

PD: I know easiest thing would be to buy new ones in Taobao but I like to know where I can buy things around the city and do things "the old way"

Forums > Travel Yunnan > Website for Yunnan shuttle bus routes

Hi @Philou
Not exactly what I was looking for but still, it is a very interesting resource. Thanks! (I didn't know that website)
I have found a few pages in English where they mention the main bus destinations:
chinatrain12306.com/yunnan/kunming-bus-stations.htm#east
www.chinabusguide.com/station/

Also a Chinese website with information about the main routes in each station:
www.piaojia.cn/kunming/changtu.html
Weird thing about this one is that it has two different names for most bus stations. For example, for the East bus station it has 昆明东部客运站 and 昆明市东部汽车客运站. And it has different destinations in each of them... Who knows... Useful anyway.

I'm still looking for a website where I can search any destination and even book tickets in advance.

Forums > Travel Yunnan > Website for Yunnan shuttle bus routes

Hi!
I have been living in Kunming for a few months and I want to go to some other little villages/towns around this area. Around Kunming I can find good information using www.mapbar.com
But if I want to go to further places I haven't found a good website to find long distance bus routes to these more remote places. Ctrip is OK but it just has most well known cities.
Is there any good Chinese website to search for this kind of information? Maybe each bus station has its own website?
Thanks!

Yesss, nothing like practice!!! Ahhh, I remember my first weeks-months in China when I had no idea about anything and in the place I lived everyone spoke in local dialect... So much fun : )

I've known their food for a while and it's always been excellent! (great for vegetarians). Had the chance to stay there for the weekend and it was perfect. Friendly and helpful staff, great location, clean and comfy rooms!

:) you can't go wrong if you stay here
