Forums > Living in Kunming > Response to "gaoxing" I don't know why i'm wasting my time on this...
first of all, i wouldn't consider myself a Salvador's 'regular'. i do however like the place and go there quite often. maybe there's another place with the same name because the people there seemed decent enough to me.
Gaoxing, you're an idiot. what were you thinking when you started posting abusive threads? what did you hope to gain? you're classified in dating was nothing short of ridiculous whatever your social issues may be. so now you're leaving to find easier women? good luck to you. good riddance! ...you won't be missed so just leave quietly and stop wasting your precious time.
Forums > Living in Kunming > tired of repeat ads offering cheap electronic goods i've seen a lot of ads(spam) in the classifieds section recently offering lists of cameras/phones/computer stuff at low prices. if you reply they'll usually ask you to use cash transfer or another unsafe payment method. this certainly looks like a scam but has anyone been brave (stupid) enough to send money? it just annoys me that they're so persistent.
Forums > Living in Kunming > Richland Hospital things can go wrong when you go into hospital in any country. hospitals don't always handle these situations well. look at the NHS for example... removing the wrong kidney, harvesting organs without consent etc. looking at the choices available, i still feel that i made the right choice in going to Richland. maybe with this new 'western clinic' open standards will improve.
Forums > Study > English schools for children tell her to try Shane English School. they offer demo classes on the weekend that her child could try to see if he or she likes it there. there's one around the Beijing Lu / Renmin Zhong Lu intersection and another on Dianchi Lu. the former is the largest and she can call them on 0871 3109028.
Kunming's bike share options: A user guide
Posted bythese schemes all seemed like a good idea butthe combination of having the bike lanes full of school kids swerving about carelessly, ebikes going waaaay too fast and the slow moving shoppers makes it much harder and slower to get anywhere by bicycle these days. They clearly need to limit the amounts of new bikes being added and maybe some training or guidelines for the children and idiots who should never be on a bike or ebike in the first place. The situation was bad enough when I only needed to avoid the crazy ebike riders - at least they're more predictable and slower to manoeuvre! As someone above implied, many of these 'issues' should be solved with time... let's hope so.
Kunming's bike share options: A user guide
Posted byI've read about a few cities now where the authorities are using local law enforcement to round up bikes that are parked all over pavements or where they're left blocking access or parking spaces etc. As the government scheme was to use parking stations these private companies are being forced out of some places just by laws being applied and enforced.

Apple opens official flagship store in Kunming
Posted byI seem to remember the fuss when an 'official' LV store in Shanghai was found to be selling copied goods along side the real things a few years ago. Let's hope Apple do better.
