Thanks fixitwithahammer, I will check it out. @Alien, I mean wushu types that involve form rather than fighting: taolu. Guess they are not all really really non-contact then.

I am looking for opportunities to learn chinese martial arts, preferably a non-contact form. Now, I am an absolute beginner in martial arts, zero experience. T'ai chi is a well-known wushu form, but it has the association of being more suitable for elderly. But, maybe there are different levels and modern forms of T'ai chi that could be interesting for good physical exercise? I also heard about Nanquan, which overall requires more physical abilities like strength and stability than T'ai chi. Does anybody know locations to go or people who can help out? Love to hear about it!
