KC - since you had a Chinese system, unless you completely wiped the drive to do a clean install of win10-ENG, the system may have left some preferences for a Chinese keyboard. Check to make sure your keyboard settings are ENG-USA (or UK etc).

I use the ENG-USA Extended (for keyboards with numeric keypads).

Hope that helps fix the issue...

Wilhelm. I connected by CCB account to the Chinese version of PayPal - you can move small amounts out regularly - especially to family (note the reason in the comments field) - but there's a daily and annual cap.

Check Paypal China's terms of service for details.

Remember - this is PayPal China - which complies with the rules and regulations of SAFE and China. The Chinese version of the app can ONLY be downloaded from here.

Paypal charges a nominal premium over SWIFT - so it's only effective up to a few thousand dollars or EUR, aside from the convenience. After that - it's more cost effective to use SWIFT - documentation pains aside.

Hope that satisfies your requirements.

You have to take them to court - it's rare the police will intervene other than take a police statement.

Court means attorney fees - so most foreigners will hesitate to embark on this time consuming path - which is what the fraudsters count on.

Attorney's fees can range from CNY 4-6k and skyrocket from there - but aside from incidentals like notaries and documentation fees - that's generally a fixed cost - which you may or may not be able to recoup from the lawsuit.

Seriously great article on a group of seriously great human beings - treating people with dignity and respect. Company HR and executives could learn a lot from doing case-studies on the Salvador's journey on how to treat people with dignity and respect - while also being moderately profitable.

Now you all know how companies can afford to pay executives and board members those ludicrous salaries and bonuses. They treat staff as disposable commodities as opposed to human beings and or family, creating an environment of zero if not negative corporate and or brand loyalty.

There were no losers in this annual award. Each nominee provides excellent venues. It would be nice if Gokm (hint hint) posted a list of the nominees also...and as an added compensated or not benefit - each nominee and winner could then post the Gokm award or nomination logo on their review sites in the Gokm listings (added revenues for Gokm, to help offset updates and enhanced or new features...just a suggestion.

Congrats to Thomas and Alliance Francais on the long haul to re-introduce the presence of French culture to this province. Let's hope it's followed by mutually beneficial economic relationships.

France has exceptionally strong agricultural bases, so that'd be a great first step, followed by Airbus, France Telecom, etc.

Just stopped by Wicker Basket Beichen again to stock up on frozen pizzas, frozen pies (chicken, beef), cheese, and sliced ham (ask them to slice it for you). Love this place - simple decor, polite helpful nice staff - nothing fancy - but gets the job done.

Finally got around to using Salvador's delivery service - tried it out on the chicken burrito and their bag of nacho chips. Delivery was flawless despite being a bit out of area (≥4km) and the food was still warm.

First experience - excellent (5 stars).

Excellent as always - even with long distance delivery. Now if only the online menu was expanded a little (like the chicken strips...hint hint hint...nudge nudge...wink wink).

Just stopped into Prague Beichen for dinner a few nights ago - and I'm shocked at how good their food is - five star international hotel quality. Even the fruit-based drink was made from genuine fruit - as opposed to the usual domestic fare of fruit syrup with chunks of fruit added. The food was well-presented and "plated".

The restaurant itself has had a major overhaul and now occupies both the ground floor and the second floor - well illuminated without being blinding, wide open and airy space (2nd floor), nice attentive but non-intrusive service, and reasonable prices for excellent cuisine.

Will absolutely return several times more, to savor and experience other menu items.

A pleasant surprise and culinary delight - great place for a date or even a quiet business meeting. Excellent atmosphere.

Excellent coffee, tea, and simple meals - to include waffles and various incarnations of sandwiches. Ground floor is NO SMOKING, second floor (where they hide the bathrooms), SMOKING.

Extraordinarily popular place - beautiful location, typical service for Kunming - which means when it's good, it's stellar, when it's bad - it's terrifying - so they have a quality consistency problem that's reflected in the various staff and shifts.

However - it's still a great place to meet, hang out, chill, relax, etc. Just remember to DIY (do it yourself) most of the time.

Caesar's Salad and one of their fresh fruit flavored teas - always my favorite culinary delight here (see my review 6 months ago).

Don't forget to pick up a few freshly baked bread rolls, pastries etc on the way out.

For a NO-SMOKING designated environment - comfortable, quiet, elegant, for a bistro-ish experience.
