Maybe a good time for a proper health screening again compared to what’s given in Kunming, but I was thinking more along the lines of does just living in Kunming seem to take a toll on you after living here a fair bit? When compared to living a more comfortable life in the west anyways.

Maybe a silly, paranoid question put down to the way I always seem to feel these days, but here goes anyway...
Don’t remember feeling this way before in Kunming but I swear for about a year now, maybe more, I permanently seem to feel like **** (use your own point of reference). Is this just Kunming wearing the body down with high altitudes, dry dusty feeling and many a dodgy meal or am I just too harsh on good old Kunming? I’ve lived here coming on six years now so the place has had plenty of time lol.
Another point I was thinking was maybe my son started nursery last year so more bugs about but who knows there either.
I’m just interested in others views or experiences on this, being good one week, then feeling **** the next seems to have become the norm and there’s nothing worse than just feeling drained so regular.
Weirdly a few apps like WhatsApp are connecting without any outside help, where as before you’d need the software to connect to it.
As always though, it shows if China is really bothered about stopping these types of software it can. They just don’t put the full time effort in most of the time.
Hopefully, they never do!

@janjal Agree with you that if things were to get that locked in I’d have to move on then as I also rely on too much outside of China. But while the GFW is sufferable then on we go.

Been here several times lately and every time I've enjoyed my meal. Don't know why some others have said it was pricey, the price has always seemed fair to me :)

That's definitely a tough pass, I can't remember ever getting a thank you from an elderly person for any kind of polite gesture (holding doors, picking up something they dropped etc).
Overall, even if it all goes lax afterwards it must have some kind of longer term imprint on the city.

Posted by100% agree with that last sentence Peter. I wasn't on her 'side' when I first saw the vid but now after seeing the way it's gone way out of what it should be viewed as, it's easy to become more friendlier to her view.

Posted by@tiger First thing I thought, a lot of money that's not going to be recouped through tourist spending anytime to quickly. Definitely bumping up the GDP, can't knock any kind of upgrade to the area but I'd be so much more impressed if it was put into something like countryside schools as liumingke1234 said. In fact I'd have quite a fair bit of admiration for the government then.
