That letter has the worst English for anyone claiming to be working internationally. Always a big red flag straight away!

Another day, another Dollar lost to the scammers of China... To be fair though, where there's money (London, Paris, New York whatever) there will always be someone looking to take it the easy way.

Did you actually fall for this scam and if so, how? People like to know how they reach out to people here so they can become more aware.

Sorry to ask the question but how do you know her life is in great danger and not that she has just cut off communication with you?

Do you have definitive proof she's in danger? If you do get on a plane, its not overly expensive from India. Trying to do something from abroad will be slow dealing with the authorities and not as helpful as being here.

These type of strategies are what cause the problems. What's wrong with a well balanced relationship between all (which believe it or not is possible) instead of putting the relationship on the front line of a (no need) family war straight away.
