Hey everybody! This question is a bit morbid, so sorry. Don't read if you are squeamish. In my country if you want, you can apply for a "Organ donor volunteer form", which is basically just a form from a notary public, which says that if you die (due to the accident, for instance), it's ok for the hospital to transplant your organs. I was thinking about this for a while, being a regular blood donor and not religious, this just seems right to me. Is there such a form here, in China? Have you ever heard of anything like that? When i asked my Chinese colleagues about it, they were completely stamped by the question. Where would i go about making something like that? Doctors? Red cross? Notary public? Do you need to do it in the place you're registered? or can i just do it in any big city?

none of my business, but i would suggest to actually study. you gonna pay anyways, why make this money go to waste? new knowledge will never hurt, especially if you're planning to work with Chinese. In that case i would suggest private schools - like the KCEL. it is just around 500-700 more than the general course in Yunnan university, but you can choose the courses (attend the speaking or writing course for your choosing), and the school is just nicer, warmer and more comfortable. But they are more concerned with attendance.

of course 5000 (for the second semester maybe a bit less, cause you don't have to pay the registration fee). did you expect to find a whole year study for less then that? well, you won't. one semester - 4000 (i think) the study fee, 450 for 6 month visa, 300 for insurance and for the first semester (only the first, not the second or any subsequent) a registration fee 300.

no, 6 months. then at the beginning of the next semester (or rather, when your visa runs out), you pay for the next one

You can register in Yunnan University for the general classes (综合课),combined with visa, registration and insurance fee it's something around 5000 yuan, it's just 4 days a week and in my experience they don't give a flying fuck for the attendance. if you don't care about the study, that would be a way to go. plus the police trusts the university so they won't check for "fake students"

one of my favorite places ever! I come here at least twice a month, sometimes more often. Thank goodness i actually don't live or work anywhere close, otherwise i probably would go there every day. Their cherry tomato pizza never gets old! BTW, me and my bf too were introduced to this place by an Italian. U gotta trust those guys to know a good pizza)) The best part is this homemade thin crust, feels so authentic (although i've never actually visited Italy, so not sure if it IS actually authentic). But compared to pizzas i've tried in other countries - this one is one of the best! Love their yogurts - very healthy, natural, delicious (especially love the one with raspberry). Coffee is not bad either, although 'americano' is more like 'espresso' volume-vise.

And, of course, nice old building in a quite alley, fresh flowers on every table, rosemary bush on the roof/balcony.

A sweet little place to come with your notebook, do some work or enjoy a book. And, of course, get some great pizza
