@trumpster

No I don't work at this school, or any school. I have an office inside the Kunming city education management building.

The parents apparently arrived there after they weren't happy with the district education ministry and went to the central ministry with a few red banners about how badly they felt they had been let down. Unfortunately for them they arrived late afternoon on after everyone had gone home and although there were some journalists there there people who may have been able to make a difference to the situation were all off work. Anyway, I believe an agreement was reached with their district education ministry and most of the students are now back in education. I could probably dig a little deeper should people be desperate for the news, although I believe most of the trouble was between the district local education ministry and the parents.

This all happened over Christmas while I was back home, so I'm just going off bits and bobs I heard from colleagues.

This was the one in the East of the city. We had the parents turning up at the Education ministry. Although I wasn't there at the time as it was over the Christmas/New Year Holiday otherwise I could shed a bit more light on it.

As far as I know the local education of that district got everyone into new schools. Whether they were able to get better/similar schools I don't know. Private education is a money pit for investors and parents, I wouldn't be surprised if a second one goes within 2019 as there is at least one more on the ropes at present.

It was always going to be a possibility which is why the local government stopped giving these private "international schools" new licences since Chinese New Year 2016.

It's grim out Chengong way. It's where they banish government workers from the city.

If you're looking to rent then empty apartments are something you should be concerned about. Someone has to own the apartment, do it up, then rent it out. Every empty one is one house you can't live in.

Plus most of the houses in Chengong are compensation houses given to farmers who lost their homes when the builders stormed through. So you'll have deliverance living next door.

So keen are they to throw their conspiracies out there, they've descended to pidgin English. If they were having this discussion in person the hand gesturing would be epic, like two ravers facing off on the dancefloor.

At the same time more fool a plane full of people who when realising this could delay their flight, didn't stick their ore in and say "there's a plane full of people here who have paid money and want to fly to wherever and get on with our days, but we can't because you two shitbags think you're a bit special."

Same goes for the airplane staff, then the security, police have had to get involved in a lovers tiff and the plane has been delayed because no one wanted to do anything outside of their remit.

About that entry point - as far as I know Schengen visas will be issued for the first country of entry (Which would be France on the Paris trip) OR the Euopean country you plan to spend most time in. So, providing you wanted to stay in Czechoslovakia for most of the time, this visa would be useful. Check this though as I used that method around 5 years ago. If it's no longer available to do that then a transfer (Paris to Prague) would be the solution. No?
