Me and my wife are expecting our baby to be born in December. Since my wife is Chinese and we live in China, we decided our baby to have the Chinese citizenship and to attend education in China. How ever we are not sure if we could name our baby with a western first name, some people say has to be Chinese name for the documents and so. My question is if it is possible for the baby to have western first name and Chinese last on its birth certificate and that name to be recognized in the system. Thanks a lot !!
Firstly thank you all for the given explanation in different scenarios, well my case is that my wife has a temporary id card issued from Kunming but is less then 6 months ( actually she just made it last month) Hope I can still qualify to do it here in Kunming instead of going to Dali. What is your opinion on this, since she has it for a month thus far ?
My wife has a Dali Hukou and last year we had to travel to Dali in order to apply for the first time for a marriage visa/ resident permit. Does any one knows if I could renew it here in Kunming in order to avoid traveling back and forth to Dali.
I am curious if you are able to do a driving license in Kunming by possessing only a international license. I do not have my national driving license with me , I carry only the international!!!
