Forums > Living in Kunming > Transferring cash out of China

Personally I am doubtful of the reasons why the "entire middle class" wants to leave.

I don't disagree that they don't want to go abroad, but do they really want to leave, or do they just want another foreign trophy to brag about in China, in same vein as buying LV bag or sending their kid to language course abroad - buying a house in western country and ultimately not living there much.

If the real bourgeoisie have already made the arrangements, I suspect that the rest is just wannabes looking up to those, with no real intention of emigrating.

Regardless, I agree that China wants to make it all difficult by restricting money flows.

First of all the search crawlers must find the page and link it. If that doesn't happen, there will no be ranking for it at all.

And secondly I'd be careful in assuming what people search or should search for.

In cases like this, website owners may have preferences over what queries they want their site to be discovered on, but someone could as well search for examples of marketing scams.

Should we, or anyone, dictate what people search?

@herenow: "they are not going to search on the GoKunming forums"

They just might have to, if they had a grain of sense in them.

Business softwares generally require localization of some level, and in particular in Chinese context this is critical.

For example, how well is the software integrated to China's (or Kunming's for that matter) tax systems, fapiaos, or payment systems like WeChat or AliPay. Can it even produce physical documents, in Chinese language, that adhere to Chinese regulations.

My point was not that the answers would validate the questions.

Rather, the questions validate the subsequent answers. For example in this case the two first answers from tigertiger and AlPage48 were quite to the point.

If someone looks for software for catering business, those answers are valid.

Your comment indicates that some questions (and answers) may not belong on the specific forum at all, but that is a different issue, and for which (to my knowledge) there is no official policy from the owners of this forum.

The text is really not clear about that point. Schengen visa does indeed allow you to travel freely within the Schengen area, but entering the Schengen area is not that simple.

Generally you are required to apply for visa via the consulate of country of entry to Schengen area. If you fly from Kunming to Paris, you may have to apply Schengen visa from French consulate - Czech or other countries' consulates may refuse the application.

Flight ticket reservations (round-trip China-Europe-China) are usually required, so they see what your entry point is. In above example, Czech immigration probably does not want to take responsibility if you fly to France and then decide to stay there as illegal immigrant.

But if your flight ticket allows cancellation and changing the point of entry after you get the visa, you are probably fine. Though I would not be surprised if there are questions on arrival passport check.

Has a foreigner team ever participated in the race in Kunming? What would it take to get one started for coming years?
