Thanks guys and girls,
To be honest, I know 2 hours is enough time to get to the airport, and likely more than enough to check in, too.
I once missed a flight in Xi'an because I didn't give myself enough time. I left around two hours early for that one, with the same attitude as most people posting here.
Granted it was because I was moved from one queue to another when checking in, and I only missed checking in by two minutes (After taking the assistants advice and pushing past everyone anyways).
I argued with the airline for hours afterwards about who's fault it was I missed the flight, in Chinese, eventually agreeing it was their fault for moving me to another line when the one I was in was perfectly fine.
They paid for my flight to be changed, but it wasn't until the next morning. They also paid for the hotel and my dinner, but I missed a day at work for it all, let alone waiting a whole 24 hours longer than planned to go to my city.
I guess my point is, unfortunate things happen. You can cut it close for most of your travelling life, and still have no problems, but one day it will bite you in the ass. Just a little lesson I learned from being here in China. It's sometimes not half as organised as you might like or expect.
Considering I have an international flight connected to this domestic, thousands of rmb spent on the ticket, no place to go back to if I missed it, plans for my arrival back home, etc etc etc, an extra hour in the morning is really a drop in the ocean.
