I just discovered that the QQ mail app I downloaded from oppo market can synch with Gmail and calendar, in case anyone's interested.

I wear a cheap casio that has a ten year battery and it's well worth having. I also have a Samsung dumb phone with a battery that lasts 2 weeks, had it for 10 years and works everyplace though I only use it when leaving civilization, 2 or 3 times a year.

Laotou, seems then like there is no safe option, apart from having a dumb phone and staying off the net (impossible).

Hfcampo, totally agree with what u wrote on this thread. And all this BS in US and EU last year about net neutrality is totally bogus. It's just a question of time until you NEED a 10k or more device just to use the net at all. This smart watch makes me think, we're one step close to the movie "logans run" (implant a "watch" at birth, turned off when you've passed your best-before date, at 35, then you're toast)

Forums > Living in Kunming > Chinese silver panda coins in Kunming

Is HFCAMPOS tip about wujing road still valid, and can gold coins be found there?

And, can foreign coins be had there? In particular, there have been some. 9999 issues (Canada, I think).

Apart from the silver value, there are 2 other "values" associated with coins = the nominal face value (10-20% of the price), which I guess can be seen as an insurance in case alchemy turns out to be true, and the collector value. Collector value is 0 upwards, but pandas traditionally go up in value, the older they are, after about the 5th year. Special coins may go up more, for example I had a few with princess Di which became sought after.

Who is going to manage to read the sign as the cab is passing by.

There are too few cabs and too few busses. Ban private cars from the city center.

Friendly staff and good service, food and prices are ok. No complaints but its nothing special either, and not worth a visit unless you live closeby.

Nice atmosphere and cosy but the western food is bad. I think they deep-fry the burgers. As a cafe - 4 stars (service is a little bit lacking at times), coffee and cakes etc are good. As a restaurant, 2 stars (western food is too bad, asian food is mamahuhu).

"All the Meat" only had about 3 slices of salami on it, so maybe i got the wrong order. Anyway, leaving that aside - soggy bread, ketchup as tomatosauce, and cheese was probably from a tube.
Potato wedges soggy as well.
I left half my meal, the only thing up to scratch was the coke and the service. Will not be back.

If the name of the shop is written in english then they should speak english, yes! A pokey shithole trying to give the impression of a quaint li'l ole bookshop. Pig-ignorant staff, never been greeted with a smile there, nor even greeted. If you must shop here, bring your own bag. 1 star earned for selection and the (for me) convenient location.
