I just signed up for internet, and it is ridiculously slow. Does anyone have reasonably fast internet? which company do you use?

According to horizonsabroad website faq, they say

"We place international volunteers at senior centers, centers for disable children, and cerebral palsy hospitals. Your duties are to assist the residents of these welfare centers with daily tasks and also to provide some company. For example, play cards with seniors, teach disabled kids how to tie a shoe, read to cerebral palsy patients, etc."

It sounds like a daily thing, and elsewhere says 2-3 hours a day. So I would assume it's in Kunming. I couldn't find a price anywhere. Is it free?

often poor people will get the plastic bottles out of the trash. they recycle them and make a little money. So, you could save up your bottles and give them to a beggar or poor person, or street kid.

is there opportunities for short term training? I see that your website says of training in yuxi and in village area. But I can't leave my family for the next 4 or 5 monhts of training in a village. Do you offer any kind of training for someone who wants to work long term with development, but allow my to stay in Yuxi, and not travel for such long periods?

anyone know of a good sichuan food resturant around the north side? I'm not talking about a big expensive nice place, just any little hole in the wall, or anywhere really, that has good sichuan food with real sichuan flavor and especially sichuan HuaJiao.
