I just drove from Banna to Kunming. No issue whatsoever. Not a single person asked me for a health code of any sort where I am used to getting asked several times on the same stretch of road.

@JanJal: I have been traveling around the Lincang and Pu'er regions of Southern Yunnan for the last few days and haven't had a problem with Kunming being on my health app. Passed through multiple checkpoints along the road without issue. I did a PCR test before leaving Kunming and did another on the side of the road at a stop last night. All very straightforward.
@lemon lover even the Myanmar migrant workers in the border regions have been locked out of the country. Most are on temporary labourer visas and have been completely shut out since all this began.
饿了么 = è‘le me (www.ele.me/waimai). It is the food delivery app with the blue uniform delivery guys. They are the only one that delivers Metro orders to my house.
For some reason, Meituan (yellow uniform) doesn't deliver from there for me.
If you buy from Metro using 饿了么 they will deliver for you and they don't seem to require a membership card.

Awesome little bakery. Lots of interesting food. For every Australian out there, the meat pies smelled great, though they weren't ready for eating when I went in. Will definitely be back for those soon.

Welcome to the new GoKunming!
Posted byAll looks good.. Have always thought that the calendar would be well served by an "add this event" or "subscribe" button that would allow users to add events to their personal calendars with a click or subscribe to events at their favourite venues.
Getting Away: Ximeng's Wooden Drum Festival
Posted byAwesome article. Thanks Matthew and GoKunming for getting this out early so that people can plan to get down to experience this.
Has GoKunming ever looked at creating a festivals Wiki page or something with a list of all these random things that happen around the province. It seems impossible to stay informed of these until it is too late. Might be easier to accomplish it it was community driven.
Also, those maps are fantastic. What program was used to make them??
