I totally do not recommend a Chinese girlfriend. You can have them as friends, students or work partners but never girlfriends. I have stayed in this country enough time to be able to judge what I have seen. I just could mention "one example" and I hope it will never offend any one, I had three students who are married and all cheat on their husbands with several men.

More than easy. Get register for the new semester before the visa ends. They will accept early enrollment and they will handle your visa issue. If your visa is going to be over by the end of July it means you are under scholarship now and you have to apply for the self support program earlier so they can handle new documents for you.

Chinese authorities won't let you out without visa in your passport to Vietnam and Myanmar, how can you go to the other side to apply for visa even temporary, no any offices connected to both countries in Chinese side of border. Just for Chinese as it used to be before, never was allowed to a foreigner to cross to Vietnam or Myanmar without Visa.
