I've used both Xiaomi 2 and Xiaomi 3. Fantastic deal if you can get it directly from their website, but ordering it online at another store is usually only 100 to 200 kuai more.
Unfortunately it only has English and Chinese. The English isn't too bad, although a bit technical at times.
The only thing I don't like is that from the original to the 3rd they seem to come with more and more junk software preinstalled. Fortunately most of it can be deleted.
By default it doesn't come with the Google Play store either. I've installed it on Xiaomi 2, but never tried to install it on the Xiaomi 3.
Xiaomi also provides a place to download other roms. Though I don't think the stock android ROM has been updated lately, and not sure what languages it comes with... But here is the site if you want to try yourself: rom.xiaomi.cn/
The biggest concern is stability for having a baby. Which means a home without a loan, and a stable job. If you also don't drink, gamble, and smoke then you will have no problems.
Unfortunately you aren't going to find a home at a reasonable price in a big city here. Only if you're from New York or London you might think the prices are only a little insane instead of downright ridiculous.
Try changing the encryption settings in your torrent software. Usually there are three: required, try/attempt, and none.
Sometimes you have to wait 15 or more minutes to get fast speeds. Generally the first few attempts at connecting will be blocked.
I use ExpressVPN, but usually don't require it for torrents. Sometimes for less popular torrents, such as Linux distros in beta, I will connect to VPN for five minutes and then disconnect the VPN.
As for VPN connection issues, I find rotating between four or five countries works best. I try not to connect to the same country more than once within one day.
I know Hong Kong stores on Taobao will ship macs to China. Legally they're supposed to declare it in shipping. Upon arrival(or beforehand?) import tax must be paid.
I guess some try to ship it undeclared, but if customs find out they will hold it until the tax is paid.
If you use more than so much a month they double the rate. I believe the it's 10 "units" where each unit is 10,000 l, but I'm not sure. You can go look at the water bills posted and see that those who use more than 10 units a month are much more than others.
So why don't they test the products at the source, or at least the lake water? I guess speculating is more fun, not to mention safer for the reporters anyways.
The rainy season usually doesn't start until about July or August.
There were a couple of days we ran out of water in the afternoon/evening this month, but it hasn't happened since. I live near Yunnan Yingxia on Chuanjin Lu.
The management said Kunming only has about 50% of the water it needs. I've heard as low as 30%.
Seems to be pretty hit or miss. First time I went there the pizza and hamburgers were great. 2nd time the pizza was terrible, and the hamburger was ok. 3rd time the pizza was ok, but people were smoking inside by the time we left. Guess the no smoking policy is not enforced.
The drought: Good and bad news

Guess I could use an editor too :P

Overall the English isn't too bad, but there are some articles that could use an editor. Any reason why you just don't hire an editor?
