good stiff cocktails are the cornerstone of any real bar, make 'em strong -- people will pay more if they know they're getting more. as for beers, try to get a wider selection than is generally available in km.

regular specials or promotions, ie margarita mondays or ladies' nights would probably be well-received.

occasional live music (with space for an audience/dancing) would be nice too. as far as in-house music goes, try to venture off the beaten path.

when do you open?

Deep yo. I got a shorter rhyme for you:

Man-tou.
Shan-dong man-tou.

Sounds like you need a holiday bra...

I miss the old Shuncheng area, as muttony as it was... I had Xinjiang food there for the first time years ago.

Shuncheng and the old Bird and Flower Market are two of the areas that should have been protected rather than 'developed'.

cool show, nice little venue too. could have used some kind of light show or video effects. lasers yo!

lots of people showed up both nights, which indicates demand for good live music, this town needs more!

The mozzarella cheese is the bees' knees, it's the same price as mozz at Paul's but it's local and organic rather than from New Zealand and non-organic.

Pesto is great but I've been hittin it too hard lately.

The unsweetened yogurt is a very welcome change of pace from the usual sweetened stuff you can buy around town.

I eat the brown rice all the time now, soooooooo good.

The 5kg assorted vegetable boxes are usually full of delicious surprises.

I don't eat meat, but my lazyass roommate says they're really good if you're jonesing for western-style links.

Kunming needs more stuff like this!!!
