Things I'm missing here-

Lentils (for Dal)
Good Tahini (that is good enough for Hummus), and while at it- good Halva wouldn't hurt either.
Camomile tea, Tulsi tea

Nature shops

Decent Dancing studios (somewhere near Cui hu, Wenlin Jie area)

Forums > Living in Kunming > Haircut advice!

I had the same problem, I have curly hair and I don't trust any local hairdressers messing with my hair (sorry!), so I've asked around and found a western hairdresser, in the same place that the above threads recommended- Toni & Guy, I went to the Ginko mall branch and I love my new haircut!!! It's quite pricey but I also got a small discount (they're really nice) especially cos the Ginko branch is a new one and they're trying to get new clients. They also have a branch near Nanpin jie.
Their no. at Ginko's- 5624262, the other one- 3620080
The western hairdresser is the nicest in town, her name is Rezvan.

Hope I've helped.

I'm not a big fan of Kundu either, but if you ignore the location, it's just the best bar in town right now.
Alex and Steve do their best to organize different events every week and it's not so easy with the current amount of bands and musicians around, they play a variety of music every week so you can't complain about it, just go there when they do play your type of music, they can't please everyone all the time.

One of my favorite restaurants. Delicious food, cheap and smoking is not allowed there, what more can you ask for?

I just had an amazing dinner there, maybe one of the best ones I had in Kunming so far!

Has great food and coffee, the nicest staff and best value for money!
