Description

Our café is open 11:30am-9pm, seven days a week.

We serve an assortment of dishes inspired by the places we've lived and traveled. Our specialty is tacos and burgers, but you'll find a wide variety of Western-style dishes on our menu, many influenced by the tastes and culinary traditions of China, Southeast Asia and the Caribbean. We also mix up some of the best cocktails in town, as well as serve a nice collection of imported red and white wines.

We are located in a quiet neighborhood, just steps away from Green Lake Park. Come visit us and enjoy our unique, comfortable, and quiet little place.

The brunch that Sandra is hosting there is wonderful! We tried the carmelized onion burger and the avocado chicken wrap- both delicious. We had excellent, fast service as well. The rooftop is looking great these days, too. Very good place for a lazy Sunday afternoon.

I stayed for a week to visit our daughter who studies Chinese at the Yunnan University. The rooms are nice and clean, the breakfast is good and to my surprise they serve excellent strong cappuccino's. I have tried a pizza (a bit expensive but great taste) and the chickensalad (good). The nice terrace and ambiance contributed to a wonderful stay in Kunming!

I've eaten here several times and always enjoyed the food. For Kunming, the pizzas are quite good. In my opinion, substantially better than both As You Like and Slice of Heaven. The Pizza isn't perfect, but with the losses of Sandra's and The Box, I'm quite happy to go here for Pizza (haven't tried Rocco's yet). As a northeastern American, I'm always dreaming of finding a proper New York style slice, but some things are not meant to be.

I'm not sure if they are still making brunch with eggs Benedict and grilled tomatoes, as I don't see it on the online menu anymore. Having that one lazy Sunday with a coffee on the rooftop terrace was delightful. Losing that brunch would be a shame.

I also had a bad experience here recently.

Honestly, I wish them the best of luck, but I do think the staff are poorly managed and the owners have the wrong attitude and a clear lack of experience in service-oriented business. While the pizza is OK, everything else I have tried (including overnight stay) can be had cheaper and better elsewhere, and the pizza at Roccos is better in my opinion. The service has always fluctuated between acceptable to don't care.

Since they don't have their situation resolved yet, and it has been a few years, I have made the decision not to go there anymore or send anyone else. It's just not worth the hassle, given the crappy location (masked as private or lost). Better pizza with more quiet and privacy on Roccos' terraces.
