On my bicycle trip I intend to spend chunjie in jinghong. But bicycle trips, by nature, are unpredictable and I may arrive one day earlier or later. Do you think my chances of finding a place to sleep during spring festival are minuscule if I try to get one the same night?

If so, does anyone know which places I can book ahead and how?

Hi,

There's Many Trees hostel, they're on hostelworld. I don't think it's going to be really tough to find a hotel though. It's different during Chun Jie from Po Shui Jie in April, during those days people are sleeping in their cars. Walk - or in your case rather bike - around Manting Lu, there's a ton of 50 kuai hotels there. They might be somewhat more expensive during Chun Jie, I'm not sure. And come look me up in Wangtianshu :-))
