Alright, I'll get the ball rolling then.

For 'Yunnan Cuisine,' whatever exactly that is, two obvious choice are Laofangzi and 1910 (both in the gokunming listings). Laofangzi's chao erkuai is really tasty and the atmosphere (courtyard house) is also nice. 1910 is in a building that was reputedly once a station on the Kunming to Hanoi rail line and is decorated in a really unusual but nice style and has an outdoor patio with seating. They seem to specialize in cold poultry and pork dishes, as well as being famous for their youtiao and zhou dish. But they also have fresh and high-quality vegetables. Anyone have a place they like better?

For dim sum, I've tried the place listed here http://www.gokunming.com/en/forums/thread/3263/dim_sum and thought it was alright but probably had room for improvement, although I'm no dim sum expert.
