I was surprised by this part of the article:
People are awarded credit points for activities such as undertaking volunteer work and giving blood donations while those who violate traffic laws and charge “under-the-table” fees are punished.

Other infractions reportedly include smoking in non-smoking zones, *buying too many video games* and posting fake news online.

Too many video games can be paid for in cash or even downloaded from the internet so no way to trace.

Meanwhile in Canada:
I used to work for a company that had both retail, including automotive, and financial, which included a bank and insurance.
We would look at the purchasing behavior in the automotive section to determine risk, which was then applied to their credit score.  It was also a good indicator of who was a good candidate for the insurance sector.]]></content:encoded>
