The rule had been enforced (because it's always a rule) that you had to go to your home country. Apparently this happens 1-2 times each year for a 4-8 week period.

Luckily Hong Kong was still processing visas. They will likely always be your best bet but you may need to go to your home country.]]></content:encoded>

It is easy to get English based Windows, and you have more choice. A double whammy if you need new tech. Admittedly HK is not cheap, but a trip does not need to be that expensive.]]></content:encoded>

It issaid that some people on a 10 year visa work and/or study because they don't want to give up that visa. Just be aware that there are some pretty severe punishments for not being on the correct visa but if you did decide to take the risk you wouldn't be the first to do so.]]></content:encoded>
