Anybody know where I can pick up some swimwear (male) in KM?
Naturally, most of the sport shops aren't even stocked with speedos. Ideally I'd like some swim shorts though I know that might be asking too much.

You could try Parkson and any other department stores, but it will be expensive.
Alternatively some of the hot springs have boutique stores, very expensive.

I doubt you can get speedos but I know the swimming pools have some swimwear for both men and women. Yun An Hui Du - 云安会都 - Near Ma Jie - the west bus station - is a nice hot spring with 5 heated pools; 1 indoor and 4 outdoor pools.
Taobao could offer a wider range of products and decent pricing. Might take a couple of days but could be worth it.
The hotspring advice is good. I went to the hotspring village near Anning and there are many shops there selling swimsuits/shorts. These shops are much cheaper than the ones that are inside the resorts. Of course, the real question is "Can you fit into average Chinese sized shorts?"
