This is what foreign extras should be paid according to my experience in the industry and what I have been told by the people I have met on set.
500 RMB per day for being an extra on set
700 RMB per day for having a line
1000 RMB per day for a small role in 1-3 scenes
2000-3000 RMB per day for a role in 4-10 scenes
5000 RMB per day for a role in 10+ scenes
BEWARE OF THE PERSON HIRING YOU! There are people out there, specifically a woman named Jasmine, who will tell you that foreign extras should be paid 250 RMB per day and only 100 RMB extra for a line. THEY ARE LYING TO YOU! Be firm, you know the rules now.
