I am in the US and a lot of my tea shipments from Kunming seem to "get lost". Is there a way to register or insure packages from Kunming for safe shipping?

My best experience so far has been to use FedEx. The service is excellent, but expensive. You can't track anything until it actually arrives at the first American waypoint (usually Anchorage) unless you ship from Shenzhen. Everything arrives in good condition and customs is a breeze.

There is no FedEx office in Kunming. You will havea to use the services of their agent located at the airport. You can also FedEx for a pick up and they will bring shipping materials, airbills, customs forms to you and collect cash on the spot for the charges.
