Getting a full heart examination done in Kunming

Does anyone know which hospital in Kunming is specialized in heart issues where one can get a thorough heart examination done?

I would be cautious about going to a specialist hospital, as they can be pretty limited in facilities and outlook. They are more likely to rely on private medical care to pay the bills, not a good thing IMHO, as it can be abused.
I have had very good treatment at Yunnan 1st Peoples Hospital on JinBi Lu. They have a fairly new caridiac department. It is a very big hospital and a good heart unit.
Kunming Yan An hospital on Renmin Dong Lu also has a good cardiac department. A bit old but very busy, good facilities and good doctors. I think Yunnan's top radiographer is at this hospital, for getting your xrays analysed.

NB If they mention a CT don't panic about cost, it is very cheap here in China.

Try Fu Wai Hospital, as it is the one trusted by ChinaCal. Also pretty new (2 years, I think) and up to date.

This post posted 8:10pm Jan. 3-, PRC time. The one above posted around half an hour ago. Yet I'm told that was 17 hours ago by gokunming and that this one is being posted 16 hours ago.
Damn that's neat! But, note, I am not stoned, and do get confused when time goes backward, as Einstein & others insist that it can.
None of this should be taken as any reflection on the quality of heart care at Fu Wai. Perhaps Pat can inform us about where gokunming goes for brain care...?
Of course I'm presently in Thailand and this place runs on military time...

My wife went to Yan'an hospital in 2011. Good service then and I believe they've built a new cardiac wing.

She had a blockage in the artery right at the heart wall and local doctors did not feel they were qualified to treat it, so they brought a top specialist here from Guangzhou and booked all the more advanced procedures for his visit.

She needed 3 stents inserted.

Not cheap, but the improvement was immediate.

My silly post above did report a 16-hour oddness about post timing, but it included my own timing mistake - for Jan. 3-, read Jan. 30.
All irrelevant to the thread of course, mea culpa.

Yet again, ho-ho. It is now Jan. 31 12:54pm in China, as I post this - still a 16-hour weirdness in post timing. Would only make sense if I were moving at nearly the speed of light in relation to Kunming (time distortion explained by relativity theory)... has something weird happened?
