Hi there, we are 2 cycletourers flying out from Kunming tomorrow morning. The 2 bikes are ready to go in 2 boxes. We thought the hotel could help us to find a van for a ride to Changshui airport but the hotel staff in duty at the moment is not cooperative. We have no cell phone to use/call a share ride service. We are at the IBIS hotel on Beijing road, 326. What would be our best call for a ride in van tomorrow, Sunday 4th at 9:30am for 2 persons and 2 bike boxes. Thanks

The gold coloured airport buses can take bikes in boxes but the drivers are often reluctant to get off to open the luggage compartments. I have no idea which bus route number is closest to you or the price.

1. You can lug the boxes to the subway and try to take the subway to the airport.

2. You can use didiche English app (use the hotel or coffee shop free wifi to download the app) OR ask the hotel or a friend to order the LARGE van for point to point transport to the airport. If the hotel staff can communicate in English - just prepay them - should be between ¥100-200 for both of you.

3. There's a few private parties on Gokm that offer limo service - with vans. Search the classifieds (click classifieds, then hunt for the elusive search button).

4. Call any of the 5-star international hotels - ask the concierge if they'll help you order a van - tell them you'll pay cash - the concierges MIGHT help you.
