I afraid my cat is going to be sent to quarantine at airport instead home quarantine.

We brought two cats from Canada in 2010 and took them to my sister-in-law's home till we had our own place.

Since that time Kunming has built a new airport and there is a quarantine building nearby, so things may have changed entirely.

One thing you may want to avoid is entering the country through any city other than Kunming. We came via Seoul so that the animals were checked right through. If you entered via Beijing, Shanghai or another city there could be quarantine at that location.

I came here many years ago to Beijing with two cats.

They were quarantined for about 30 days at their airport facility.

We were allowed to visit them but there was no getting around that rule.

That was about 10 years ago.
