Kama Kazi Africa LTD is not such a stupid thing because in Swahili it means “as work”. It is a online recruiting service in Kenya and has nothing to do with China except that it list teaching positions for Kenyans to teach in China.

Gosh, jumping to conclusions and opining harshly based on faulty assumptions and limited knowledge could be embarrassing. Just saying...

Indeed: a whole lotta mind-boggling stupidity

A bit much to blame it on the whole country. Not sure how negative the name might seem to Kenyans, none of whom experienced nasty Japanese suicide fighter plane attacks in WWII. Would have been an odd name for a Chinese company - is it just a bad choice of name by a Kenyan company that is trying to do business sending teachers to China, where the name does have negative connotations?

Someone should contact the company and show them the error of their ways, no?

The company is called “Kama Kazi” and not “kamikaze”.
The Chinese have their own word for kamikaze.

'Kama Kazi' looks like a variation of 'kamikaze, the standard English spelling of the Japanese pronunciation of a word that is written, in both Japanese and Chinese, in characters, which of course are not pronounced the same in Chinese as they are in Japanese. Hopefully the Kenyan company does not use the characters of the Japanese word in their advertising, which might well be interpreted in a negative manner in China. Hopefully the company just meant "as work" - and wouldn't that be written in Arabic script? Doesn't Swahili use Arabic script?
