Hiya, I'm looking at spending some time this summer at the Keats School to learn Mandarin. Because I'm booking this too late, they would put me in the Xiangrugu hotel accommodation. Does anyone have any experience with this hotel? My concerns is that it might have all the usual issues of a Chinese hotel: smokey, noisy people in the hallway or all night long, issues with the bathroom. On the other hand, the Keats school is putting their reputation on the line by putting students here, and so far I can't really find negative or any reviews from students who stayed in this accommodation. Any advice or opinions greatly welcomed! Thank you!

I would ask if they can book you in for the first week only, and take a from there.

Thanks, I will do that. I guess they've chosen this one because of its close proximity to the school. But would anyone else have a suggestion of a very good value for money (smoke-less, clean, quiet) hotel in the area in case I need an alternative?
