Do NOT marry a Chinese woman

Another important thing is finance. Are you footing the bill for everything? She obvious can't working legally since she is illegally in the States. If you're paying for everything that is a big red flag for me.

@wolfee I'm embarrassed to say I was scammed into marriage by a Chinese woman 20 years ago, for the very reasons you fear. She was pretty, charming, f*cked like a pornstar and cooked like a master chef. It didn't help that I had a thing for oriental women to begin with and she was my first. When we divorced, friends told me they were not surprised she was not in it for love. When I asked them why they never told me, they said I would not have believed them. Guilty! Liumingke1234, Aliennew, and especially Geezer have excellent advice. Consider it very seriously. The good news for me is that my second wife is also Chinese, we live in China with no intention of moving to the States (for reasons similar to those Napolean gave!) I checked out my second wife and her family and friends thoroughly before marriage - all good people. We've been happily married for ten years now and enjoy living in China with our beautiful daughter.

I married my Chinese wife in the UK. Before we married, she made it absolutely clear that she did not want to stay in the UK, but return home to China; which is what we did. She is a good woman and we have been together 15 years now.

Come on people mr 'wolfee' ain't no real American business guy lol. Check the stilted language, its got Chinese guy/girl written all over it ;o)

Saying that though, any person who is desperate to live in your country and not their own must have issues you need to be aware about. With me and my wife it helps knowing she's happier living in China and just going to UK for a trip is hard enough never mind getting her to live there...
In the end best way to stop any guessing if she's in it for the 'green card' is to say lets move to china and get married. That will clear up any doubts! lol

@redjon777
That's a good point.

Men gain nothing from marriage except social acceptance. So any man thinking about proposing to any woman should think twice. If a man has any doubts, he shouldn't marry.

Well I have to say that I have gained much more than social acceptance from being married.
Research suggests that one advantage is prolonged life. There are many more things to be gained.
