Avocado trees in Yunnan??

DanTheMan (620 posts) • 0

Avocados are available in most large cities in China. I believe most are imported.

There is some cultivation in Yunnan, but it is pretty limited, and I don't believe it extends this far north (too cold).

They grow in Xishuangbanna. The season is usually spring/summer. I've had them, and they're really big and really good. Unfortunately, no one seems to be bringing them to Kunming.
The term they use down there is you li (油梨)
