If Portugal were to win the world cup it would be the biggest shock victory in international football since Greece actually beat them to win the European championship in 2004.

They've just lost half their starting defense in Pepe and Coentrão (the latter also their best player after Ronaldo).

The rest of their team is average by this world cup's standards, and most of the players who make up the rest of the squad play for what you might call the second level of teams in Europe (Braga, Sporting, Benfica, Zenit etc).

They would very likely have to get past two of Italy, Holland, and Belgium to progress to the latter stages, and then they'd likely face the real favorites (Brazil/Germany/Argentina).

They have neither the talent nor the experience to do this, with or without their lady boy hero, and if they do win the world cup, i will attempt to swim across Dianchi lake dressed as a lemon.
